2Safety eyes (optional, for turtle face)
Instructions
Creation of the Donut
Start with a magic ring using your first color yarn. Chain 2 and make 12 double crochets (DC) into the ring. Pull the ring tight and join with a slip stitch to the top of the first DC.
In the next round, make 2 DC in each stitch around for a total of 24 stitches. Continue with one more increase round, using 1 DC in the first stitch and 2 DC in the next stitch around.
Switch to your second color for the donut. For the next 3 rounds, work 1 DC in each stitch. Once you reach your desired height, change to your sprinkle color yarn.
For the sprinkle effect, use a single crochet stitch in different colors around the donut shape. Vary your colors for a fun look.
Once satisfied with the sprinkles, fasten off and weave in any loose ends.
Crocheting the Turtle
Start with a magic ring. Chain 1 and make 6 single crochets (SC) in the ring. Continue with rounds of increases just like with the donut but adjust the size to match the scale of your donut.
Crochet small tubes for the legs and a slightly larger piece for the head. Attach these to the turtle's body.
Stuff the turtle and donut as you go. Sew the turtle onto the donut. Add safety eyes if desired.
For final touches, add features like a smile or shell patterns with embroidery if desired.
Notes
Read the pattern carefully, keep your tension even, and use a stitch marker to track rounds. Count your stitches frequently to avoid mistakes. Store your finished product in a clean, dry space away from direct sunlight to prevent fading.
